OKC Streetcar Opening Weekend Celebration

Celebrate OKC history being made at the Myriad Gardens’ streetcar stop located on Hudson, just south of Sheridan. On Saturday, December 16 from 11 am – 1 pm, grab a candy cane and take pictures in our sleigh while you await the next streetcar. Photo op area presented by Delta Dental and in-kind sponsor, Lanny & Vicki Smith with Mountain Top Fraser Fir Farm.
Additionally, Mo’s Carousel will offer FREE rides on Sundays, December 16, 23 and 30 from 1-7pm.

Celebrate the longest night of the year. Come visit the ILLUMINATIONS light show in the Crystal Bridge and enjoy additional entertainment featuring live music from Ocean, as well visits from the Sugar Plum Fairy, a Snow Globe Ballerina, and the Ice King and Queen. Grab a drink from Double Shot Bar Services or skate at the Devon Ice Rink open 11am-11pm.

Warm up in our tropical conservatory while learning all about the yummy breakfast food that grows in the tropics. Kids will start with a scavenger hunt to find coconuts, star fruit, bananas, and other tropical foods. Then we’ll finish by learning how to create some healthy, tasty and easy breakfast treats.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration in the Gardens

Celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a morning of music, crafts, and readings. Help unite OKC by placing a string on our “woven together” art display, bring a canned good food item that will be donated to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, or take a learning walk through the Garden Classroom highlighting quotes and important events in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. At 11:30 a.m. join us for a reading of Dr. King’s famous I Have a Dream Speech, followed by a performance from a Gospel Choir. Our event will be complete in time for the ML King parade in downtown Oklahoma City.
