Children’s Garden Festival inspired by A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh

  • Friday, June 8 to Sunday, June 17, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily
  • $6 per person
  • $10 per person Crystal Bridge and Winnie the Pooh package

  • Additional Fee: $6 to Build-A-Bear
  • Purchase a family membership for $65 and come for FREE as many times as you like throughout the 10-day festival!

Join us as we transform the Children’s Garden into Christopher Robin’s 100 Acre Wood. The Children’s Garden will come to life with our favorite characters Pooh, Piglet and Tigger. Enjoy crafts, activities and imaginative displays that will capture the essence of one of the most beloved children’s stories.

Please note the Children’s Garden will be closed Monday, June 4 to Thursday, June 7. The Thunder Fountain is June 6 and 7.and will re-open for admission Friday, June 8 to Sunday, June 17.  The Children’s Garden and THUNDER FOUNTAIN will reopen for FREE on Wednesday, June 20.

Join us for an afternoon of garden fun and help Rabbit plant his flower pots! Children will be able to decorate a pot and plant it with a flower of their own to take home.

An event for families with children with special needs, join us inside the Children’s Garden for Winnie the Pooh. This event provides a more controlled and welcoming environment to experience our Children’s Garden Festival. No loud music and smaller crowds. Pooh and Tigger will be onsite for photos in a designated area. Typically developing siblings are welcome! We will have festive booths crafts and activities for everyone to enjoy. A light snack will be provided for registered participants thanks to Trader Joe’s. Mr. Yeti’s Snowballs food truck will be onsite for purchases.

Children’s Honey Bee Class with Lori Coats

Join Lori Coats, owner of My Raggedy Herbs, as she teaches children the process of how honeybees make honey. Lori and her husband raised their four children on a honey farm in western Oklahoma. She will have your child buzzing with excitement as they hear a kid-friendly version of how these amazing insects make nature’s perfect food! Each child will create their own fun honeycomb picture and leave with a bee stamp on their hand.

Mommy and Me Mondays and Tiny Tot Tuesdays

Join us for a morning of fun with the little ones. Guests can enjoy story and music on the Children’s Garden Porch. This will be a time geared toward ages 0 to 5 with no outside school groups or daycare booked visits during these hours.

It’ll be a hopping good time as kids learn about all the veggies Rabbit grows in his garden. Participants will play games and read books, learning about the veggies in Rabbit’s garden and how they grow. Each child will get to create a garden craft to take home.

Berry Class with Pati Colston

Come and learn about the important roll honeybees have in the pollination process of strawberry plants from Pati Colston, owner of Agape House Berry Farm. Pati and her husband raise 16,000 strawberry plants and are eager to share with children the importance of these special pollinators. Kids will have the opportunity to make their own balloon “honeybee” during craft time and “pollinate” strawberry plants.

Book Sale with the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System

The Friends of the Library will be onsite from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. selling gardening and children’s books at the Myriad Gardens. The Friends of the Metropolitan Library System was formed in 1978 and is recognized as a charitable 501 (c) 3 organization. Their mission is to raise funds to support the Metropolitan Library System’s Mission to ‘grow smarter communities, one person at a time.’

Join Wine and Palette for the Children’s Garden Festival: Winnie the Pooh. Paint your favorite “Hunny Bear” & Piglet too! (11″ x 14″ wrapped canvas). All ages welcome!

An Evening in the Hundred Acre Wood

Come to Winnie the Pooh after hours to explore the Children’s Garden as the sunsets in the background. There will be games, activities and treats. Our friends Pooh and Tigger will be onsite for photos. All guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite character to get in the spirit. Throughout the evening will be playing The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh short stories on the Children’s Garden porch for everyone to enjoy. Guests will also be able to use the Thunder Fountain after regular festival hours. Treats provided by Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops Edmond.

Father’s Day at Winnie the Pooh

Come celebrate your Father at the Gardens and enjoy Winnie the Pooh—Dad’s receive FREE admission for this Sunday, June 17 ONLY. Kids can create a Father’s Day craft for their special guy to commemorate the day.
